About AboutNewJersey.com
AboutNewJersey.com grew out of my passion and love for New Jersey.
New Jersey is a fantastic, and rather under-appreciated state. It
is time for New Jersey to change the latter and demonstrate the former
and the goal of AboutNewJersey.com is to do just that!
Numerous opportunities exist
for adveritising and will be seen by a huge number
of people planning their trips to the various Celebrate
NJ! venues. Will your
restaurant, lodging, attraction or service business
be one of the ones that catches the visitiors' eyes
among the crowd?
We offer the following advertising opportunities...

To put it bluntly, I know where
I belong and that is right here in New Jersey - there is no where
else I would rather be. This feeling does not come
from one who has never left the border of their home state, but
from someone who has been to 40 states and lived in six of those.
I grew up in Bricktown, went to school in Pt Pleasant Beach, lived
in Kendall Park, went to school in Princeton and Piscataway and
am currently living in Plainsboro. I have lived in California,
West Virginia, Indiana, Oregon and downtown Chicago. I have been
to Canada, Mexico and England - and nowhere does it compare to
New Jersey.
I have heard the negative comments, and observed the many New Jerseyans
who take the state for granted. I laugh when I hear people say
"There is nothing to do". Which leads me to ask them if they've
been here, or here, - or what about here. I laugh even harder when
they respond back with - "no, where are those things?" It just
shows me how so many people don't truly know New Jersey, and it's
something that needs to be changed. New Jersey has so much to offer
- but one has to take advantage of it. This to me is the key thing
about Celebrate NJ, and AboutNewJersey.com in particular - to showcase
the many, many great things to do and see in New Jersey - from
the mountains in the northwest down the Jersey Shore to Cape May,
from the historic sites to the cities and the forests.
If
I could find a way to let people TRULY experience New Jersey through
AboutNewJersey.com and demonstrate to people why I am so passionate
about it I would. But that would require the smells of cotton candy
and pizza mixing with the smell of the salt air to waft from your
computer screen, as you hear the strollers and feet making clacking
sounds on the boardwark, with the sound of crashing
waves mingled with the screams of people enjoying
themselves on the amusement rides, as the sun beats on your back
and the soft summer wind blowing through your hair. Of
course that is just one of the infinite number of experiences that
can be had in New Jersey. Others include the isolation and silence
of the Pine Barrens disturbed only by the occassional sound of
a hawk cry, or the excitement of a sports game, the crack of the
bat as a baseball player makes a home run or the beauty of the
New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. So before you say that there is
nothing to do in New Jersey, look around, explore and take the
time to make your own New Jersey experience!

Jersey Messageboard.
