City: Manasquan County: Monmouth

Manasquan is the perfect seaside destination for weekend and vacation getaways. Manasquan has become very popular with families, couples and college students, and there are a variety of lodging options to be found. Beachfront and private homes and cottages are available for seasonal rentals, including an 1882 Victorian Bed & Breakfast Inn, the Nathaniel Morris Inn (the only one in town) that is open year-round.

The Manasquan area has a lot to offer visitors of all ages, and is very popular with antique lovers, artists, runners, bicyclists, boaters, surfers and sport- & surf fisherman. Close-by area attractions are abundant and include some very fine charter and party-boat sport fishing. There are numerous public and semi-private golf courses close by. For family entertainment, the Boardwalks of Point Pleasant & Seaside Heights are just minutes away to the south, and Six Flags Great Adventure is just 20 minutes to the west. The close-by neighboring towns of Brielle, Sea Girt and Spring Lake, with their grand Victorian and oceanfront homes and Inns, have long been summertime destinations for the rich & famous. There are quite a few trendy, unique small businesses and galleries on Manasquan's Main Street that cater to all tastes and styles, and there are enough fine restaurants, cafes and other, more casual dining choices to satisfy anyone.

The town is easy to reach from virtually anywhere by car (Exit 98 on the GS Parkway) and public transportation, and travel to Manasquan by train from Manhattan and northern New Jersey is easy and fun using the North Jersey Coastline. Manasquan prides itself on being 'New Jersey's family beach', with wide, clean public beaches. New Municipal parking lots added in the past few years and more planned, provide ample parking for all visitors. The Manasquan Inlet is the northern entrance to the Intercoastal Waterway - allowing a boater to go all the way from Manasquan to Florida without ever having to venture into the Atlantic Ocean.
