City: Pt Pleasant Beach County: Ocean

Pt Pleasant is one of my favorite beaches. Of course it may be because I grew up here. But I'm not alone in my feelings. Pt Pleasant attracts tons of visitors from throughout the area, especially New York. It offers a lot for families. In addition to beaches and amusements - you can get some of the freshest fish on the Jersey Shore. Since it is home to one of the four commercial fishing companies along the shore - you can literally get fish right off the boat - the same fish that is supplied to the local restaurants. For the horror movie buffs, check out St Peter's Church, several blocks from the beach, which was used in the movie Amityville Horror.
