01/31/08 - The Secretary of State Makes A Splash in Atlantic City: Secretary of State, Nina Mitchell Wells, spoke to a large gathering of the members of The Greater Atlantic City Region Tourism Council and the Atlantic City Hotel and Lodging Association on Thursday, January 31, 2008, at a luncheon hosted by the Resorts Hotel and Casino. Ms. Wells’ appointment as New Jersey’s 32nd Secretary of State on January 16, 2006 charges her with the promotion and preservation of the arts, history and culture of the Garden State. To promote that endeavor, she spoke to the councils about the future of New Jersey’s tourism industry and gave a heads up to new projects that are to be initiated and partnerships that are being formed.
12/01/07 - The ater Club at Borgata in Atlantic City: “There’s nothing like it around here,” says Drew Schlesinger, Vice President and General Manager of The Water Club, the newest addition to the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The tower, expected to open in the spring of 2008, debuted at the Atlantic City PR Council luncheon held at the Borgata on November 27, 2007 in which Mr. Schlesinger unveiled the plans and showcased the 43-story luxury hotel.
10/25/07 - 2007 New Jersey Hall of Fame Inductees: In a press conference held on October 25, 2007 by Governor Jon Corzine, the governor released the names of the 2007 Inaugural Class of Inductees in the New Jersey Hall of Fame. Those citizens who have made significant contributions to enhance the image of the State of New Jersey were broken down into five categories: Members of the Arts and Entertainment world; Enterprise, Historical, General, and Sports industries.
8/21/05 - Peach Growers Shine Media Spotlight on Sweet New Jersey Fruit: ...what often surprises people about peaches is the fourth-largest producer of the fruit – New Jersey. Yes, the state known for its blueberries, tomatoes, corn and cranberries also ranks fourth in the nation in peach production. What’s more impressive, while other states produce their crop throughout longer portions of the year, New Jersey’s season lasts from July through September.

and the new Jungle Domain with tiger
exhibit for 2005: “The announcement today represents the largest
expansion in the 30-year history of Six Flags Great
Adventure,” Kieran Burke, Six Flags, Inc. CEO, explained. “Six Flags
Great Adventure is already the
world’s largest regional theme park, and this record-breaking new capital
marks the first step in transforming
this park into a true family destination.”

Announces Winner of the September
11th Memorial Competition: Located at the northeast end of Liberty State Park,
the memorial will stand 30-feet high and 200-feet long. Composed of twin brushed
stainless steel, two steel walls will face one another -- reflecting the constantly
changing light of day.
