The Water Club at Borgata in Atlantic City

“There’s nothing like it around here,” says Drew Schlesinger, Vice President and General Manager of The Water Club, the newest addition to the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The tower, expected to open in the spring of 2008, debuted at the Atlantic City PR Council luncheon held at the Borgata on November 27, 2007 in which Mr. Schlesinger unveiled the plans and showcased the 43-story luxury hotel.

“The Water Club, a boutique-lifestyle hotel, will offer luxury, comfort, and style in a state-of-the-art sanctuary in the sky,” states Mr. Schlesinger. Built to accommodate 800 contemporary guest rooms, 3 modern residences, along with 18,000 feet of meeting space and five indoor and outdoor pools, the 400 million dollar hotel will provide guests with a place to relax and unwind and will offer direct access to the Borgata Hotel and Casino.

A two-story “spa in the sky”, a 30,000 square foot spa surrounded by glass, will entice guests to luxuriate in two indoor pools with sky and panoramic water views. Towering trees, floors covered with imported Brazilian wood, two Jacuzzi’s, secluded treatment rooms and a private lap pool--all make for a retreat of complete indulgence.

Opulence prevails in contemporary guest rooms equipped with 40” LCD Sony televisions, in-room dining services, 400 thread Egyptian cotton linens and robes, along with aromatherapy bath essentials in a bathroom composed of granite and marble imported from Peru. Every room will have a water view.

Just off the lobby is the elevated “Sunroom” where one can relax, sun and socialize. Surrounded by a cascading water wall, the decor--complete with bar service--add to the tranquil surroundings. Connected to the sunroom are two outdoor pools that will feature sand and cabanas along with a 400-jet Jacuzzi tub. And for those inclined to shop as a form of relaxation, an upscale retail mall with six designer shops has been commissioned to open on site, among them “Hugo Boss” and “Fixation.”

In keeping with the tone of a “cosmopolitan” hotel, turndown services, daily newspapers, and freshly baked cookies will contribute to the overall hospitality experience in a “Meeting Your Needs” program to be instituted by the hotel staff. A lobby ambassador, 24-hour room service, with a celebrity chef in residence—all will provide the “personal touch.”

The Water Club is committed to pampering its guests, complimenting the successful elements of the Borgata in making it an even more pleasurable experience. To quote Travel and Leisure Magazine, “The Borgata has succeeded beyond everyone’s wildest expectations.” The Water Club should prove to be a monument to that achievement.
