This resort is reminiscent of New Orleans and Bourbon Street. Dixialand Jazz fills the air with roaming musicians. The Showboat is connected to the Taj by a bridge giving the feel of walking on a Mississippi steamboat. There are several restaurants to choose from and two theatres - the Mississippi Pavilion and the Mardi Gras Showroom. The Showboat contains a sixty lane Showboat Bowling Center and the Big Easy Health Spa. This casino is the furthest north on the boardwalk and gives the startk night and day effect of Atlantic City. If you just go beyond the casino on the boardwalk you'll see the boarded up and dilapidated apartments and houses. Just beyond the Showboat you can see the Absecon Lighthouse which has been undergoing renovations.
