Historical Museum Park
One of the most significant events in American History occurred here. This is the final battle of what is commonly referred to as the "Ten Crucial Days" and "The Turning Point of the Revolution". Here Washington gained his first victory over the British Regulars and General Hugh Mercer lost his life.
Princeton Battlefield State Park offers nature trails, one of which leads to a Quaker Meeting House, built in 1726, which is still in use. Take a picnic basket and have a picnic on the lawn while playing frisbee or softball.
At the Thomas Clarke House, built in 1772, you can see Revolutionary War exhibits, furnishings and learn about life back in the times of the Revolution.

Site of the longest battle of the American Revolution, Monmouth Battlefield State Park preserves a splendid rural 18th-century landscape of fields, orchards, woods and wetlands encompassing miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, picnic areas, a restored Revolutionary War farmhouse and a Visitor Center.
