Allaire Village Take a trip back in time and learn about life in a 19th century ironworking town. This preserved and historic village is what remains of an old company town, where workers lived, worked, went to church and their children went to school. The village includes a general store, blacksmith shop, carpenter's shop, owner's house, foreman's house and a church. In addition to the restored buildings - there are also several "ruins" in the surrounding wood area. To get an initial idea of what you will see on your visit - you should first head over to The Visitors Center and Museum. Allaire Village, Inc, which is a non-profit corporation, hosts over 40 programs and events annually, including living history events, antique shows, craft shows and flea markets. Note - tickets for the railroad are extra and can be purchased at the railroad ticket office. For more information call - (732)938-5524. Other amenidies There are picnic tables and grills around the park in picnicing areas, in addition to several covered picnic areas.
